In 7th grade, I was commissioned to paint 32 school principals. Here (far right) I’m at the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion, presenting my wet oil painting of Heisman Trophy winner Billy Sims to Governor George Nigh and OU football coach Barry Switzer.  I worked all night doing the orange and white background so Mr. Sim’s blue robe popped.  Painting Oklahoma stars was good preparation for painting Hollywood stars.
